Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in Physical Therapy from Temple University in 1983 and Doctorate in Physical Therapy with a specialization in Manual Therapy and Orthopedics in 2007. In addition, she is certified by the APTA  (American Physical Therapy Association) as a Clinical Credentialing Instructor (CCI) and is a Board Certified Specialist as an Advanced Hip Clinician (AHC); and Sports and Conditioning. Jennifer has taken more than 75 courses over her career. She oversees the Company’s Graduate School Affiliation Curriculum with a variety of schools in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has assisted Alex in a variety of  Orthopedic Case Studies.


Alex Ivashenko PT DPT OCS AHC CProT 40QA00279700
Alex completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at Rutgers University, Post Graduate Degree in Physical Therapy from Drexel, and Doctorate in Orthopedic Physical Therapy with a specialization in Orthopedic and Manual Therapy from Chatham University.  Alex is Board Certified as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist (OCS) and Certified as a specialist in Core and Hip Pathology (AHC). He is a member of the AAOMPT (American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists), APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) and the ASSET (American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists) in addition to being Board Certified in Sports and Conditioning. He recently was Board Certified by Medigraph to perform Functional Capacity Examinations (Currently, he has performed more than 1000). He has been involved in a variety of orthopedic case studies related to the shoulder, spine and core.  Alex was a Clinical Supervisor for NYU's Steinhard School Orthopedic Clinical Residency Program in addition to being a clinical instructor of Doctoral Students for Rutgers University and Seton Hall University.  He has completed more than 90 seminars and courses.


Edenia Sanchez PT DPT OCS ATRIC (Per Diem)
Edenia received a Bachelors of Arts in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 2002 and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2010. She is certified by the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) as a Clinical Instructor (CCI) and with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Professional Trainer  (CSCS) and by ATRI as an Orthopedic Aquatic Specialist (ATRIC) by ATRI.  Ardenia has successfully completed her Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS). Edenia has been integrating her experience as a professional trainer and physical therapist to provide a comprehensive approach for her patients.  She is expanding her orthopedic physical therapy skills with the Maitland Concept.


Amita Mali, PT MSPT OCS 40QA01469900

Amita grew up in India where she received her Bachelors in Physiotherapy in 2007. She practiced at a registered physical therapist in India for approximately 1.5 years as a pediatric and orthopedic physiotherapist receiving extensive training as in Manual Therapy and NeuroDevelopmental Techniques. She also volunteered at an institute for mentally disabled orphan girls during this time. She subsequently relocated to Pittsburgh PA to pursue her passion in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She received her Masters in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy from University of Pittsburgh in 2009. Upon graduation, Amita primarily practiced in hospital outpatient orthopedic centers in Indiana and Michigan. Since joining Jersey Central Physical Therapy in 2012, she successfully completed her Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) and is pursing her Fellowship in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Women’s Health. 


Danielle Mitko PT MSPT 40QA01553300

Danielle Mitko completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Rutgers, The State University in New Brunswick, NJ in 2007.  Upon graduation she worked as a personal trainer and private gymnastics coach.  She attended Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland where she completed her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy in 2014. During her education she had the unique opportunity to experience another country’s healthcare system. She spent her free-time volunteering as a side-handler for Therapeutic Horseback Riding as part of the Riding for Disabled organization and volunteering with Different Strokes, an organization that provides hydrotherapy for young persons affected by stroke.  Danielle has been developing her manual skills taking a variety of courses (Maitland and Mulligan) and is looking forward to completing her Board Certification in Orthopedics (OCS). She has been a member of the Company for more than 2 years.   


Shawn Morgan PT DPT 40QA01569500

Shawn completed his undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Rutgers, The State University in New Brunswick, NJ in 2007.  After several years, Shawn returned to Rutgers University to pursue his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, which he completed in May 2014. During his education, he suffered an injury requiring physical therapy. He came to JCPT and was subsequently offered a position upon graduation. He has been a member of the staff for more than 2 years. He is pursing his Board Specialization in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy.  He is eager to develop his manual skills taking several manual therapy courses in Maitland and Mulligan. As an athlete, he has been utilizing his skills successfully rehabilitating local athletes.

Silvia Meawad PT DPT 40QA01628300

Silvia completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Stony Brook in 2012 and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in May 2015. She successfully completed an advanced internship with us prior to returning as member of the staff. She has been a member of our staff for more than 1 year. Her goal is two fold: to refine her skills as an orthopedic manual physical therapist and complete her certification as an orthopedic aquatic physical therapist (ATRIC). She is developing her manual skills taking courses in Maitland with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Orthopedic manual Therapist (COMT) through Maitland. As an athlete, she has been utilizing her skills coaching a local middle school girls basketball team.


Barbara Figura MS OT CHT, Board Certified Hand Therapist 46TR00194400
Barbara received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University in 1978 and Masters of Occupational Therapy with a specialization in Hand Rehabilitation from Temple University in 1987. She is one of the first New Jersey Occupational Therapists to become Board Certified in Hand Therapy on September 1992. She has more the 20 years of experience treating hand and upper extremity injuries and disorders. She has taken more than 40 upper extremity seminars since 1992.


Caroline Ivashenko, Practice Administrator and Marketing Director

Caroline is an honors graduate from The College of New Jersey with Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. She has an extensive background with IBM in customer service, collections and operations management. She currently utilizes her skills to successfully manage the Company. She is also responsible for marketing the company to various organizations in New Jersey and New York.
